Our company has been subject to false allegations on multiple internet platforms, all most likely by a few disgruntled ex-employees, and some have been spread by certain self-proclaimed “consumer champions” who post on websites intended to report scams or other such complaints. If you look into the history of O2 Media, our past and present shows, where they air, and the list of major companies who have worked with us many times, you can get a clear appreciation of how far from the truth these allegations are.

The Balancing Act, although not a show owned by Lifetime Television, has a unique relationship agreement with them. . The Balancing Act is a one-hour show, airing Monday through Friday, and is a permanent part of Lifetime’s programming grid. Additionally, it is promoted by Lifetime themselves, and appears on their “My Lifetime” website. These facts alone clearly demonstrate that allegations that we do not air the segments we produce are absurd on their face. If you turn on your TV every weekday morning and watch Lifetime TV between 7am and 8am, you will find our show airing -- with entertaining and educational programming, in part supported by our content partners.

You may also tune in to Designing Spaces, another O2 Media show, that has been airing on TLC and WE networks for over seven years. In fact, it has become so popular, it will begin airing regularly on the WE Network starting July 3 every Friday, Sunday and Monday at 9:30 AM. It will also appear as part of their website, will be a part of their programming grid, and will be supported promotionally by WE TV.

Another interesting point is that one of the internet sites where the allegations were posted -- Rip-Off Report -- actually investigated the alleged issues, and reported their findings as follows:

RIP-OFF REPORT INVESTIGATION: "O2 Media customers can feel confident and secure when doing business with The Balancing Act, Designing Spaces, Kitchen Spaces, W The Women's Show. Investigation shows allegations turn out to be made up: Rip Off Report investigation concludes all negative posts against these entities are once again filed by a competitor who was a disgruntled ex-employee pretending to be Clients of the TV shows. All posts are coming from local IP addresses in South Florida where the ex-employee lives. Scam reports are false and misleading! In spite of taking legal action against the former employees, and actually getting their public confession as well as a public apology nonetheless, there seems to be a residual presence of some of those same allegations. Our First Amendment rights of freedom of speech, makes it difficult to eliminate these postings, but the erroneous nature of the claims is proven by the fact that our shows air on national television networks, regularly.

Another person who has made reference to us and the allegations from these former employees is Matthew Chan (www.matthewchan.com). The amount of time he has devoted to posting negative lies about 02 Media is incredible, particularly in light of the fact that he has never once asked for the other side of the story, making his information both wrong, uninformed and erroneous. We have offered Mr. Chan the opportunity to speak with us or visit us to conduct a fair and balanced investigation as he claims he does, (based on the fact he has had such an interest in reporting information about us), but he has refused to take us up on the offer or speak to the list of satisfied companies who have worked with us. Yet despite his continued nonresponse to our invitation to come and investigate us personally, he doesn’t hesitate to ask for money from people “who would love to support him in his investigations.” He says on his blog about us, “The extensive time and hard work put into this information page has been entirely voluntary. The articles and editorials presented here is information I have diligently researched, gathered, and openly shared the last 2+ years. At the suggestion of one our readers, I have set up a PayPal Donation Button for those of you who wish to show your thanks…” Again we invite Mr. Chan to use some of those “donations” to come and investigate us and the allegations he continues to post.

Ironically, Mr. Chan has recently found himself in the position of having to defend himself in which we hope are false allegations about him (read the link below). One would hope that these allegations being made about him, are as absurd and unfair on their face, as ours, but it does make us wonder how Mr. Chan feels when the tables are turned. We are baffled that he would not want to have fair and balanced reporting about others he is reporting on when we are confident he would want that for himself:

We can only hope that someone does a better of job of investigating the allegations against him then he did investigating the allegations against us.
